IEEE Ethical Hacking Seminar

Yesterday, I gave a seminar entitled "Ethical Hacking: It's All About the Ethics". What I really enjoyed about the seminar was the amount of interest that the topic had on students as well as the questions asked during and after the seminar.

I received today some pictures about the event and are available under the Albums Section.

note about final question

i didn't try to answer the final question during the seminar but i'm not convinced that greed is the answer. I think that if a company knows the hacker's potential they would definitely satisfy his greed because that would be in their best interest. I find not getting credit as a more plausible reason.
All in all good lecture though. It would be a nice addition to the security course material. I wonder if u can post the slideshow on the website for downloading.

Ceaser, it is not a natural thing that you don't get the money that you are supposed to get especially that you, as an ethical hacker, are the person who is asking for the price.

It is very common, however, for ehtical hackers to end up feeling greedy about the success that non-ethical hackers achieve especially that the most common type of hacking taking place is the underground hacking (non-ethical) driven by money, power and commercial competition.

As such, greed is the most dangerous mistake that might turn an ethical hacker to a non-ethical one.

Trust me on that ;)
